The Fire Of the Holy Spirit

It was warm summer Monday night. (June 28,2004) I had been invited to minister at St. John Missionary Baptist Church on the northside of Houston, Texas. I was accompanied with my spiritual mother. She had also been asked to minister in song. When I arrived at the church, I felt God telling me that my life was going to change that night, but I just could not place my hands on what would be so different about that night. When I walked inside of the church I was welcomed with open arms. It was a small church, but they had big heart. I noticed that there were quite a few praise dance groups there. I did not know what to expect. I cleared my mind and focused on what I was to do. The first lady of the church had seen me praise dance before at another church. So, she request that I do my theme song, which is, Praise Is What I Do. I gave the first lady my cd and went to go sit by my spiritual mother. We were towards the end of the program. I enjoyed the program so far. The other praise dancers were awesome! When it was getting closer to the time for me to dance, I went to the restroom to change and pray. I prayed that God would use me in a mighty way that night. I prayed that someone would get a breakthrough on that night. They introduced me and I proceeded to the front of the church. I prayed as I was waiting on the music to start. Into the dance, closer towards the end where the music get more and more powerful, I felt a cool rush of wind come across me. It was something that I never felt before. The steps of the dance became stronger and sharper. When the dance was completed, the music was still on and I was on the floor. The spirit was so so so heavy in that church! The people started to praise and worship God like never before. I was still on the floor. I could not move nor speak. It felt like something was sitting on my back. When I tell people this story, they say that it was angel sitting on me, watching what was going, and protecting me. My spiritual mother got up on the mic and starting ministering in the spirit. There was one woman who was running from something. She was trying to climb up the walls, but at the same time she was was thanking and praising God. People were lining up for a blessing. My spiritual mother was laying hands on people. There were three people that got up and as she prayed and spoke in other tongues one right after the other were slane in the spirit, on the floor. The praise became a strong, strong worship. Basically the whole church was speaking in tongues and when that began, I was still on the floor on my knees in a ball, It felt like I was being picked up. After a certain height, I started to spin, faster and faster and faster. I felt myself holding on to the carpet for dear life. I was so dizzy, I feel out of the ball that I was in and ended up laying on my back. I was out after that. The intense praise and worship lasted about 45 minutes. After God was finished doing what He had to do with me and my life that night, He allowed me to open my eyes and slowly regain strenght. I notice that it was a heavy haze in the room. God's glory was there. He rested in that church that night. So many people receive their breakthrough, including me! Those three ladies were still on the floor! They did not get up until church was completely over.
